You will not have a better understanding about China until you visit Beijing, XiĄŻan, Guilin and Shanghai. This tour will take you to the imperial cities of Beijing and XiĄŻan where you will visit the world renowned Great Wall, Forbidden City and Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum etc. and see how the emperors were living, working, worshiping and entertaining in the ancient time, the beautiful city of Guilin where you will be shocked by the picturesque hills and clear rivers, the modern city of Shanghai where you will see the fast development of the city and the uniquely beautiful water town near Shanghai. Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1 (Sat). To Beijing (No meals)
Arrive in Beijing Capital International Airport. You will be met by the local tour guide and transferred to your excellent 5-star hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight in Beijing

Day 2 (Sun) BeijingŁšB.L.DŁ©
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning tour to TianĄŻanmen Square, the biggest square in the world, and Forbidden City, the complex of Imperial Palaces which were home to the Emperors for over 500 years.
Lunch in local restaurant.
Afternoon tour to Summer Palace, where the Emperors went to escape the heat of the city in summer.
Dinner in local restaurant.
Overnight in Beijing

Breakfast in hotel.
Morning tour to Great Wall at Badaling, the best preserved part of the Great Wall which is a magnificent construction project in ancient china and one of the great wonders in the history of human civilization (around 65km away from the city centre and about 1.5 hoursĄŻ drive). Usually people climb up to the top of the Great Wall. Cable car fee is on your own if you need it.
Lunch in local restaurant.
Afternoon tour to Sacred Way, part of the Ming Tombs complex and guarded on both sides with stone statues by which the ancient emperors went to hold a memorial ceremony for the ancestors and Changling of Ming Tombs, the biggest wood-made and best preserved palace of the 13 Ming Tombs
Dinner in local restaurant.
Overnight in Beijing.

Day 4 (Tue) BeijingŁšB.L.DŁ©
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning tour to Temple of Heaven, an exquisite example of Ming architecture served as an exclusive altar for Chinese emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. You will also see the local people doing Taiji and morning exercises in the Temple of Heaven.
Lunch in local restaurant.
Afternoon tour to Hutong, a labyrinth of old narrow streets lined with ancient courtyard houses giving us a glimpse into the traditional and colorful life of Beijing residents.
Farewell dinner --- Peking Roast Duck in local restaurant.
Kungfu Show in the evening.
Overnight in Beijing.

Day 5 (Wed) Beijing/XiĄŻan (B.L.D)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning airport transfer for your flight for XiĄŻan. About 2 hoursĄŻ flight.
Arriver in XiĄŻan met by local tour guide and transferred to your hotel.
Lunch.
Afternoon tour to Big Goose Pagoda, which was built to store sutras and statues brought from India by Xuan Zang in Tang Dynasty, and Shaanxi Provincial History Museum which houses a large collection of 113,000 historic and cultural artifacts unearthed in Shaanxi.
Dinner.
Overnight in XiĄŻan.

Day 6 (Thu) XiĄŻan (B.L.D)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning tour to Terracotta Army Museum, a vast Terracotta Army - 7000 life sized figures individually crafted and complete with chariots and horses (around 38km away from the city)rLunch in local restaurant.
Do a little shopping before dinner.
Dumpling Dinner & Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing Show.

Day 7 (Fri) XiĄŻan/Guilin (B.L.D)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning airport transfer for your flight for Guilin. About 2 hoursĄŻ flight.
Arrive in Guilin, met and transferred to your hotel.
Lunch in local restaurant.
Afternoon tour to Elephant Truck Hill, whose shape is just like a huge elephant drinking water from the river with its trunk, and Folded Brocade Hill, whose rocks are piled up layer upon layer on each other to folded brocade.
Dinner in local restaurant.
Overnight in Guilin.

Day 8 (Sat) Guilin (B.L.D)
Breakfast in hotel.
Day Cruise on the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo (around 80 km long). Gorgeous Karst peaks give you surprises at each bend of the limpid river under the blue sky.
Buffet lunch on board.
Arrive in Yangshuo in the afternoon around 14:30. We will spend the afternoon at West Street lined with small craft stalls and shops.
Dinner in local restaurant.
After dinner, transfer back to your hotel in Guilin (about 1.5 hoursĄŻ driving).
Overnight in Guilin.

Day 9 (Sun) Guilin/Shanghai (B)
Breakfast in hotel.
Airport transfer for your flight for Shanghai. About 2 hoursĄŻ flight.
Arrive in Shanghai, met and transferred to your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.
Lunch and dinner on own.
Overnight in Shanghai.

Day10 (Mon) Shanghai (B.L.D)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning tour to the Bund, which is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years and Yu Garden, a representative of the classical architectural style acknowledged as an architectural miracle in the region southeast of the Yangtze River.
Lunch.
Afternoon tour to Jade Buddha Temple, a venerable and famous Buddhist temple and shopping at Carpet Factory.
Dinner.
Acrobatic Show in the evening.
Overnight in Shanghai.

Day11 (Tue) Shanghai (B.L.D)
Breakfast in hotel.
Morning transfer to Zhujiajiao Water Town, a typical ancient water town in the south of the Yangtze River (one hour of driving from Shanghai downtown).
Lunch.
Afternoon visit the Shanghai Museum, a large museum of ancient Chinese art.
Dinner.
Overnight in Shanghai.

Day12 (Wed) Shanghai/departure (B)
Breakfast in hotel.
Airport transfer for your flight home or extending your stay.
